ATX Blues is proud to announce that we have been promoted to the UPSL Premier Division!
ATX Blues inagural season was a huge success, qualifying for the the playoffs; squeaking in to the 6th place in the league and then losing to LTFC - who would go on to the championship game.
Normally, this would not be good enough for promotion; BUT, due to restructuring of the UPSL central texas conference into an Austin and San Antonio conference 3 teams were choosen to promote and ATX Blues was the 3rd team selected.
Josh Brown, ATX Blues President and Manager said: "We are incredibly fortunate to be promoted and look forward to the challenge in the spring. You know, normally we wouldn't have done well enough to promote so this is a bit of a unique situation, we've got a lot of work to do to get our team ready for the spring but it's exciting and I'm confident we'll be ready and do well when games start in April!"
Now that the Blues have been promoted we plan to keep a team in the Division 1 league as well as the Premier division. Fielding 2 strong teams will require some additions to the squad and we are looking to add players. We have tryouts coming up in February and March. Interested players can sign up here: SIGN UP
ATX Blues will play games at the Town and Country Showcase Field which is seeing a few upgrades for the spring season including added stands and audio upgrades and backstop netting.
